'Attempting To Launch The Curragh' By Irish Artist Maria Noonan-McDermott

'Attempting To Launch The Curragh' was a commission piece for a dear old lady who was celebrating her 90th birthday.
She had a passion for the work of Irish artist Paul Henry and her favourite painting was entitled 'Launching The Curragh', which was a view from Achill Island in the west of Ireland.
I wanted to give her something unique, not just a copy of the painting, so I worked on a more personalised version by adding in her three grandchildren.

She was delighted with it, her first original painting.
